Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using jasonhawes.com (the "Site") or purchasing a membership, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

2. Use of the Site

You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not:

  • Infringe the rights of others
  • Transmit spam, malware, or harmful content
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site
  • Scrape, reproduce, or resell any content without written permission

We reserve the right to terminate access for any user who violates these terms.

3. Membership Subscriptions

Membership tiers are billed on a recurring monthly basis through Stripe. By subscribing you authorize recurring charges to your payment method.

  • Cancellation — you may cancel at any time. Access continues until the end of the current billing period; no partial refunds are issued.
  • Upgrades — upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated for the remaining billing period.
  • Direct Access (1-on-1 calls) — limited to 20 members. Monthly calls are non-transferable and unused call slots do not roll over.
  • Refunds — we handle refund requests on a case-by-case basis. Contact us within 7 days of a charge if you believe an error occurred.

4. Intellectual Property

All content on this Site — including text, images, video thumbnails, investigation case files, TAPS Academy course materials, and branding — is the property of Jason Hawes / TAPS and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any Site content without our prior written consent.

5. Community Conduct

Members accessing the private community agree to:

  • Treat all members and staff with respect
  • Not share private community content outside the community
  • Not harass, threaten, or impersonate other members
  • Not post spam, promotional content, or off-topic material

Violation of community conduct standards may result in immediate membership termination without refund.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site and its content are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jason Hawes / TAPS shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or membership services, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Rhode Island, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Rhode Island.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted here with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
