Now I know that 6 1/2 million hits is nothing compared to the nearly 13 million visitors the TAPS site received in February.

Saving money is always a great thing. She was all set and grabbed her coupons and headed towards the door. It was then she stopped and had to ask that question I was hoping not to hear..
‘Can you come with me and give me a hand?’
Ah, CRAP!!
 This is going to be so damn embarrassing, but showing my support I headed out with her.
I remember being a kid in NY state and spending a entire Saturday with my mother as she would bounce from store to store to follow the deals. She had 6 kids to feed on a LOW family income. She did her best and always made due for us.
Well I sucked it up and went to the store with the wife, the first store was Super Walmart. We got up the the register and she started dropping coupons. I was so friggen embarrassed. Especially since the lady at the counter and the lady behind me in line were both fans of the show. Somewhere between when the 200.00 bill and the final cost of 97.00 I was feeling no shame.
Then we were off to CVS pharmacy.
When we got to CVS she made me get a cart and started loading it up. I was far from ready for this but instead of getting my @$$ kicked I sucked it up and did what I was told.lol.
We got to the counter and I started unloading my cart. People were walking up in line behind me, I did not want to make them wait but the wife would have Killed me if I didn’t hand over her coupons.
Bill 58.00 after coupons, 7.00!
Hot damn!!
So, total today was 258.00 of groceries and supplies today, but our cost was 104.00.
Yes, using coupons today saved me 154.00, more then 60%.
That 154.00 will help out on my Zombie plan “See below”

I am still in awe and felt I needed to share.

Hi everyone,

We know you probably have lots of questions about Grant’s departure from Ghost Hunters, so here are some answers to what we thought you might be wondering about most.

Q:  Was Grant fired?

A:  No.  Grant approached Syfy & the producers with this decision.

Q:  Is Ghost Hunters being cancelled?

A:  No.

Q:  Is there a rift between Jason and Grant?  Or between Grant and another cast member?

A:  No.  This was an amicable departure from the show that was not precipitated by any interpersonal issues.

Q:  Will a new lead investigator take over for Grant?

A:  No – there are no plans to bring in a new lead, but everyone will have to stay tuned to see how the team adjusts.

Q:  What are Grant’s plans?  Will he return to plumbing?

A:  For now, Grant is looking forward to going back to school to pursue his interests in graphic design, as well as continue to actively pursue his passion for music and art.

Q:  Will Grant still remain an active member of TAPS?  Will he continue paranormal investigating?

A:   Grant will take some down time from investigating to further his education but will remain a part of TAPS, assisting Jason in other areas for now.

Q:  Will Grant still be making personal appearances?

A:  At this time he has no upcoming appearances.

Q:  What about Jason & Grant’s inn, the Spalding?

A:  Grant will continue his role as an active owner of the Spalding, along with Jason.

GRANT WILSON TO DEPART FROM SYFY’S GHOST HUNTERS

New York, NY – February 16, 2012 – As announced on last night’s episode, Grant Wilson, co-lead investigator of Syfy’s hit reality series Ghost Hunters, will be departing the show.  His last episode will air Wednesday, May 16 @ 9pm, and he will wrap production at some point next month.

Of the departure, Wilson said, “It is with mixed emotion that I am announcing my departure from the cast of Ghost Hunters.  While paranormal investigating has always been and will remain a passion for me, after enjoying nearly eight successful seasons on television, I have made the decision to leave the series in order to focus on other aspects of my personal life.

I will deeply miss working with Jason and the rest of the dedicated investigators and crew that have become like family, and I wish them all the best as they continue to follow their passion and realize the vision of TAPS.

I will also miss interacting with our wonderful fans worldwide.  You are all at the heart of what we do on Ghost Hunters, and I’m grateful to have gotten to know many of you over the years.

Thank you to Syfy and Pilgrim Studios for giving me the opportunity to do what I love for nearly eight years, and for supporting this difficult decision.”

Ghost Hunters continued its audience growth, posting season highs in total viewers (2.07 million) and Adults 25-54 (1.1 million) while boosting Syfy to #3 among cable entertainment networks in both Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54 during the 9-10PM period.

What would you all like to see from TAPS in the future?

Now I want to explain myself. “I DO NOT” believe there will be a Zombie uprising anywhere in the near future, My posts are nothing but a metaphor I use for the rare chance that something “maybe in my lifetime, Maybe not”  could happen that breaks down society as we know it and that I and others need to be prepared.
Growing up with movies like Red Dawn, Terminator, Dawn of the Dead, Maximum Overdrive I am sure did not help.LOL

I do and always have considered myself a prepper.

I believe that I and others need to know how to survive on our own in case something ever happened and there was a breakdown of  society, Government, local Police, etc etc.
When I was in my 20′s I use to head into the Mountains in New Hampshire with nothing but a knife and a water container and hike for days at a time. Some would say this was crazy, others thought it was smart of me.
Surviving off the land is what our species did for thousands of years, now it seems if we are without electricity or a remote control for more then a few hours we have no idea what to do. 

Take some time and think about this, If there was no Government, no police, no grocery stores to buy goods, no place to get medication for you or loved ones,  what would happen?

Many would starve to death due to the lack of knowledge of how to survive, others would steal from those who had more in order to provide for themselves and or loved ones. “Nothing wrong with helping your own survive”.
Many would ban together and try to start a community.
But many groups would fall under violent controlling individuals looking to take what they can by force due to their lack of knowledge on how to survive on their own.
You can see that by looking at almost any and all countries that have gone or are going thru civil war.
This becomes a scary scenario and anyone who says it could never happen truly should look around the world and see it has in many places. I am sure the people of those areas felt the same way.

I was told many times when I was younger
“Jace, “It’s what my dad called me” you need to plan ahaead. Something big may happen in your lifetime and endanger you and your family. Make sure you are more prepared then the next person.”

It’s all about being prepared in everything I do.

Even when I travel out on my snowmobile I have a small kit, it provides all things I would need to survive in case something was to happen and I was to find myself trapped in the woods.
It has a small tool kit to repair my snowmobile, 10 feet of thin metal wire, 10 feet of Duct tape, 10 feet of Electric tape, fire-starter, etc etc.
Many times We “Grant and me” have found ourselves rescuing people who headed out with nothing but a jacket and gloves. It’s truly insane when you find someone lost in the mountains on a broken down snowmobile in -15* weather all alone.
So I think the whole reason I posted this is to inform everyone  ”I am not crazy”, well I guess thats more for those who view me to decide. lol.
I am tho, to the best of my ability prepared for whatever may or may not come, Are you?
